Leveraging Pinkaloo to Respond to Covid-19

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we're seeing an uptick in demand from companies interested in launching workplace giving and employer matching programs. In part, this is because employers, banks, and donors are looking for ways to give back in their communities in response to COVID-19. At the same time, employers are looking to augment their workplace giving program to make up for employee volunteer events that have been cancelled because of social distancing measures.

As the demand for charitable giving increases, we want to ensure we’re doing our part to help our customers quickly and seamlessly make a difference. That’s why we’re focusing our resources toward fast deployments and are committed to cutting launch times in half. This means our customers looking to start CrowdFundraising for a cause, such as donating to local food shelters, can be live in less than 48 hours. And those who want to deploy a full workplace giving program to empower employees across their company to support their favorite causes can be live in 2-3 weeks.

The uncertainty and disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic can feel all-consuming. Not only is there fear and anxiety around the physical health issue itself, but the pandemic is also changing life as we know it: it’s separating people from friends and family, leaving people unemployed or losing income, taking children out of school, and leaving people hungry.

While the swirl of depressing statistics and negative news stories can be overwhelming, one way to stay grounded and balanced is by focusing on moments of compassion and humanity.

Over the past week at Pinkaloo, we’ve been particularly inspired by the eagerness and generosity of our customers who want to make an impact, knowing that so many people in their communities are struggling.

As one of our customers, Alex Amenabar, President of Morgan Business Consulting, recently put it: “Like most businesses, we're thinking about how we can support our employees, clients, and communities during this time. One of the things we’re trying to figure out is how we can make an immediate impact to the communities and people who are most acutely feeling the consequences of the pandemic while supporting our employees to do the same.”

At Pinkaloo, it’s our mission to provide this solution. We want to make it as easy as possible for people and organizations to give to those who need it most when they need it most. In these difficult times, we’re ready to partner with our customers to help them make a positive impact in their communities, support their employees, and contribute to the charities that need it most during this time.
